In your business what has been your biggest highlight to date, one that you are most proud off?
Wow, there are so many! I literally pinch myself on a regular basis wondering if it’s all real, but the biggest highlight for me is looking around at a gorgeous community of women that I am so lucky to be surrounded by and knowing that I have such a deep connection with each of them.
They give me the support, inspiration and motivation to keep going and reaching higher. I literally light up when I think about how these women are doing such fabulous things for this world and living out their passions. I feel very proud knowing that I have created this little life for myself that is just so joyously full of good people. I can’t tell you how happy that makes me.
Night of dancing or relaxing with a great movie?
Both! Dancing to the music in the movie! (you should see me when the credits roll… it’s a family affair!)
What has been your funniest business blunder that you love to tell?
Oh I don’t think I have one! I’m a total dag, I’m clumsy and I ALWAYS put my foot in it or say something stupid so I don’t have blunders, that’s just me! How embarrassing…
I’m a shoeaholic, yes I have over 100 pairs of shoes….it’s a good thing there are 365 days in the year so I can wear them all. What are your most treasured shoes and why?
Ooh nice one Anne. I am a shoeholic too and I actually get really, really sad when it’s time to throw out a pair. My most treasured shoes though are my bubba’s shoes. Good lord they are all just too cute, I don’t want to part with them!
Any big surprises coming up for Event Head?
Next year I am bringing unique in-person experiences to Event Head and will be offering intensive one-on-one planning days (so much fun!) and group workshops (so much great content!). I can’t wait! There may also be a cheeky little e-course for those who can’t get to me in person.
Who is your all time favourite Actress / Actor, and why? (and yes you can have more than one)
I have a tendency to love evvveryone so narrowing down a few favourites is really hard but Johnny Depp has been an ongoing favourite of mine since I was a kid. And Jack Black, he’s makes me laugh so much. Oh and Jim Carrey. And then there’s Mark Wahlberg. And Heath Ledger. And Meryl Streep.… I just love everyone!
Do you use a virtual assistant? If yes, what do you love most about working with them? If not, what stops you from bringing one into your business?
I do from time to time and would like to use one (you!) even more in the future. It’s a total relief knowing that you can pass on those jobs that are essential to your business but actually hold you back from doing the gutsy work AND you don’t have to employ someone as a permanent staff member to do it. You just book in some hours and voila!
This year for Event Head has been great but for me I feel like unless you have the funding, the first year is all about bootstrapping and doing the hard yards yourself then defining what it is you are good at, what you can do easily and without frustration or what you really need to hand over to become more efficient. From there it’s easy to hand over tasks, give clear instructions on how it should be done and get the most out of your time with your VA. If you are clearly struggling with something though, then it doesn’t matter how new or old your business is – get the help!
Summer or Winter?
Spring! 😉 It’s the perfect blend of balmy days and cool evenings. I feel like such a whinger in Summer and Winter because I’m either too hot or too cold!

A) Romantic dinner for 2 at fine dining restaurant
B) Movies and popcorn, and little to no conversation
C) Pizza, couch & favourite flick
D) Cooking up 3 course gourmet meal for a big dinner party
Going out is so much fun but there is nothing like being in your daggy trakkies, bra off, eating your weight in pizza and ice cream and putting on a movie that makes you feel good. Plus it’s much easier to snuggle on the couch than it is in the cinema!
